A Study on Trust of Clinical Nurses


Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate nurses¢¥ trust of the other nurses and patients. Subjectives were 158 nurses who were serving at SNU hospital from 1st Sep. to 15th Sep. in 1982.
Subjectives were asked to complete the nurses¢¥ trust scale, made by Wallston et a].
Relationship between the nurses¢¥ trust between the above mentioned score and the independent variables such as age, educational level, clinical experience, religion and psychiatric nursing practice.
The data was analyzed by means of t-Test and One way Analysis of Variance (F-ratio). The results are as follows.
1. According to age, there were no significant differences total trust of nurses, trust of other and trust of patients.
2. The lower the educational level is, the more higher level of score total Trust of NTurses and Trust of other Nurses (p<0.01)
3. There was no relation between duration of clinical experience of respondents and trust of nurses.
4. Mean of trust score revealed no significant difference with nurses¢¥ religion
5. Mean of trust score revealed no significant difference with the duration of psychiatric nursing practice.
